Amruta after becoming a trained beautician and a make up artist, wants to save from her earnings and then go back to her home town to open a beauty parlour.
Help support her in giving just the right skill set at the right time.
Amruta is an 18 years old, small town girl from the ancient holy city Nashik. Her father is a salesman at a local cloth store and her mother is a nurse at a hospital. Her elder sister is pursuing Engineering and Amruta following her passion has relocated to Mumbai, seven months back, for better job opportunities. She is working as a beauty professional to save funds and enroll for skilled courses for make up artists that will make her compete in this industry.
She has taken a loan from her current employer which is deducted from her salary every month. She stays at a paying guest accommodation with 17 other very supportive girls. Her total monthly income from the home beauty services she provides via her current employer, goes towards paying off the EMI of the loan, rental for the accommodation and travel across the city for service calls.
This fund raiser is to accelerate Amruta's career so that she can pay off a portion of her loan and invest in the make up artist training earlier Vs 2-3 years later after saving the complete course fees.
Amruta came for a home salon service that I had booked a couple of weeks back. It was late in the evening and the service went on until 2130 hours. Unlike other artists who would have rushed through the service, Amruta was very diligent throughout the service. We got talking during that time and I learnt how hard she's working towards her career. What touched me was her confidence and zeal to dream.
I will pay the collected amount myself at her employer's office from where she has taken a loan.
Amruta, happy about the fact that she will be able to pay off the fees / loan and invest in make-up artist course sooner and eventually set up a beauty parlor in her native city Nashik, also told me honestly recently that with a part of her family's and her savings, she has further paid 10K INR last week :). The fund raiser target is so revised from 35K to 25K INR.
For me, what's admirable about this girl is that she understands there is no substitute to hard work.
Support and share this campaign for a young girl to help achieve her dreams a little earlier and strengthen her faith that dreams do work, if you work.
Besides online donations, we have received INR 10,000.00 from other sources.
